Techsuture Polypropylene is a synthetic non-absorbable monofilament suture designed for soft-tissue approximation where smooth passage, long-term stability, and minimal tissue drag are important. Its monofilament structure supports clean handling and low tissue adherence, while the blue color improves visibility during placement and knot tying.
This configuration features a USP 6-0, 22 in (55 cm) strand paired with a 15 mm 3/8 circle Black Regular reverse-cutting needle. The finer 6-0 diameter supports lighter closure and more refined handling in very delicate treatment areas, while the polypropylene material maintains tension and does not undergo hydrolysis.
Choose the suture size based on the level of delicacy, tissue support, and closure precision required.
6-0 – smaller diameter for lighter closure and more refined handling in very delicate tissue.
5-0 – finer profile for delicate soft-tissue approximation with slightly more support than 6-0.
KEY SPECIFICATIONS
Recommended for soft-tissue approximation where a non-absorbable monofilament suture is preferred and a finer closure profile is required.
- General soft-tissue closure in very delicate treatment areas
- Oral and periodontal soft-tissue procedures, consistent with the product’s approved use
- Surgical sites where smooth passage and minimal tissue drag are preferred
- Procedures where prolonged support without hydrolysis is beneficial
- Smaller treatment areas requiring controlled placement and refined handling
