In periodontal surgery, working distance changes how the instrument sits over the field. At 18 cm, this Power Castroviejo has a longer straight profile and carbide gripping surfaces for careful needle positioning during implant and soft-tissue closure.
The spring handle and lock preserve the familiar Castroviejo handling style, allowing the clinician to grasp and reposition a needle with small movements. A black titanium finish gives the instrument its restrained Power Line appearance.
Important Usage Note
Use with surgical needles 0.8 mm in diameter or smaller. Place the needle toward the tip of the jaws, never near their base. Keep other instruments from contacting the locking mechanism to avoid damage.
Choose this length when a straight needle approach is useful but a little more clearance around the operative site is preferred. It brings the familiar Castroviejo grip into a longer Power Line format for tissue-conscious suturing.
