An angled approach can help when a suture lies farther back in the surgical field. This 18 cm Castroviejo needle holder uses curved tungsten carbide gripping jaws to position fine needles along gingival contours and around implant sites.
The spring-style handle opens and closes with small finger movements, while the lock holds the needle between adjustments. Made from surgical-grade stainless steel, this reusable Black Edition instrument retains the familiar Castroviejo handling style.
Important Usage Note
Use with surgical needles 0.8 mm in diameter or smaller. Place the needle toward the tip of the jaws, never near their base. Keep other instruments from contacting the locking mechanism to avoid damage.
When the clinician needs more working distance from the immediate closure, the 18 cm length leaves additional room for hand positioning. Curved jaws help orient the needle from the side without changing to a conventional finger-ring holder.
